Loj - Loud Favorites (Video)
Queens, NY native Loj (short for logic, pronounced “Lodge”) stopped over at the Universal building while I was still with Loud.com. It was packed upstairs, so we had to go out front, but dude none-the-less got busy. Check out an exclusive verse and the title track to his debut album, No Labels. Funkmaster Flex antics shut down
Funkmaster Flex declared that he was boycotting any and all artists signed to Interscope Records and would not spin any of their records/songs on his program. The higher ups at Hot 97 had something else to say about it.
“We’ve never held back on a whole label’s music,” said Ebro Darden, program director at Hot 97, in an interview with the New York Daily News. “And we won’t. We’ve got good relationships with labels…We had to muzzle Flex…People know a lot of what he says is showmanship, but that went too far.”
Clipse’s Manager Charged With Running 10 Million Dollar Drug Ring
Anthony Gonzalez, who is charged with leading a $10 million drug ring, turned himself in to federal authorities in Miami today and will be returned to Hampton Roads to face an 82-count indictment. Gonzalez, who has ties to the rap stars Clipse, was charged in U.S. District Court. An unnamed police officer also is listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 60-page indictment.
The Clipse frequent talk of drugs in music will probably be brought up in court.
